Seat-Backrest Adjustment
Position Sensing With Hall-Effect Sensors
Hall-effect sensors are used to detect the relevant motor positions.
The sensor consists of a Hall element sensitive to magnetic fields and an electronic evaluation stage which is located on a PC-board in the motor. The changes in the magnetic field during motor operation are detected and evaluated by the seat memory control unit. During seat movement, the sensor output voltage fluctuates between 1.5 - 3.5 and 4.7 - 9.0 V.
Voltage value dependent on magnetic field (motor position):
1.5 V - 3.5 V Hall-effect sensor LOW
4.7 V - 9.0 V Hall-effect sensor HIGH
