Air Distribution IHKR E46

Air distribution in the IHKR E46 is carried out by an actuator.

The link plate 1 is driven by the air distribution flap motor. An air flap in the heater unit is positioned by this link plate 1. The air flap directs the flow of air in the various ventilation modes

The air distribution microswitch 2 informs the heater/air conditioning control unit of the position of the air flap. Two cams are mounted on the link plate for this purpose.
