Spark Plug: Service and Repair

12 12 011 - Replacing all spark plugs (N73)





Special tools required:
- 12 1 171 12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool
- 12 1 200 12 1 200 Torque Limiter 30 Nm
- 12 7 131 12 7 130 3/8" Extension Piece (2)





Necessary preliminary tasks:

- Switch off ignition.
- Remove acoustic cover
- Remove intake air manifold Service and Repair.
- Remove ignition coils Removing and Installing/Replacing All Rod-Type Ignition Coils (N73).





Important!
Wear protective goggles.

Oil and dirt particles may get into your eyes!

Clean spark plug slot with compressed air.





Tighten down spark plug with special tool 12 1 171 12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool and special tool 12 7 131 12 7 130 3/8" Extension Piece (2) (extension), special tool 12 1 200 12 1 200 Torque Limiter 30 Nm (torque limiter).

Tightening torque: 12 12 1AZ [1][2]Specifications

Installation:
Without special tool 12 1 200 12 1 200 Torque Limiter 30 Nm, note tightening torque.





Assemble engine.

Check function of DME.
