Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

11 00 045 - Checking absolute compression of all cylinders

Diagnosis and Information System (DIS)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove equipment wall.

- Remove spark plug from 8th cylinder.

(Without removing manifold).

- Connect DIS Tester.

- Connect charger.

Test:

- Call up Diagnosis

- Select vehicle > right arrow button

- Function selection

- Complete vehicle

- Drive

- Engine management

- Valve gear

- Valvetronic variable valve gear

- Mechanical components / function

- Test schedule > right arrow button

- Compression pressure check > right arrow button

- Follow DIS Tester instructions.

Note:
Clear fault memory

A mechanical compression pressure check is not possible.
