Subject
Fault Code Memory Is Not Cleared Automatically after Reprogramming DME with CIP 16.2

Model
E83 (X3) All Models

Complaint
After reprogramming the DME with CIP 16.2, the Final Report indicates one or both of the following statements:

"X Could not completely clear fault memories"

Or

"X The following control module(s) still has/have entries in the fault memory: DME/DDE"

Cause
SW Error in CIP 16.2.

Measure
When programming has been completed, connect the vehicle to a DIS Plus or GT1 diagnostic device and clear fault code memory.
