A/C Compressor ON

A/C Compressor ON (A4S 310/270R)








The A/C compressor "On" input is provided by a connection to the circuit that is used for the activation of the compressor clutch. This input signal allows the TCM to modify the shift characteristics to compensate for the compressor load.

The compressor "On" input is a switched high/low signal.

- Signal High = compressor OFF
- Signal Low = compressor ON

The compressor "On" signal is provided by one of two methods, depending on the model.

Newer vehicles with CAN bus communication also provide the Climate Control system status of compressor on.
