Pre-Drive Check

Pre-Drive Check
As of system status Terminal R ON, the MRS4RD performs a predrive check (system test). While the predrive check is in progress, the airbag warning lamp is switched on for 3 5 seconds. Once the predrive check has been completed, and assuming no faults have been detected, the airbag warning lamp is switched off and the system is ready for operation.
The following tests are performed as part of the predrive check:
^ Comparison of programmed equipment with actual equipment fitted
^ Testing of deployment circuits
^ Testing of resistance of deployment circuits
^ Testing of internal components
^ Testing of external components
^ Checksum calculation for algorithm parameters
