Central Electronics Box Fan: Service and Repair

Replacing Fan For Electronics Box (N62)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit
- Switch off ignition
- Follow instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery
Disconnect battery
- Remove microfilter housing cover

IMPORTANT: Follow instructions for removing and installing electronic control units.







Release lock (1).
Remove air funnel (2) towards top.







Release screws, remove cover (1).







Unlock and detach plug connections (1).
Unlock and detach plug connections on Valvetronic control unit (2).
Unlock and detach plug connections on DME control unit (3).
Unlock and detach plug connections on supply module (4).
Raise supply module (4), unlock plug connections on underside and detach.
Remove control units.







Unlock and detach relay (1).
Unlock and detach plug connection (2).
Release screws and lift out control unit carrier (3).







Unfasten screws.
Remove fan (1) for electronics box.

Now clear the fault memory.
