Replacing Crankshaft Pulse Generator (N62)

Switch off ignition.

Installation location:
On transmission bell housing at bottom right.







Unlock plug and detach from crankshaft pulse generator.
Release screw.
Tightening torque.
3AZ Engine speed and reference mark sensor
M6 10 Nm
Note: Replace micro-encapsulated screw


Withdraw pulse generator (1) from transmission bell housing.

Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
Replace screw.

Installation:
Read out fault memory of control unit of Digital Motor Electronics (DME).
Check stored fault messages.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
