Sensor Test Navigation System

Information is shown in the LC display.

The sensor test can be selected as follows:
- Selection - main menu
- Selection - settings
- Press and hold the "MENU" button longer than 8 s in the settings mask
- Select sensor test

The following mask then appears in the display







- 1 wheel sensor, number of pulses from speed sensor per minute, left and right wheels As from production break PU99, only the left wheel will be indicated. The line for the right wheel speed signal to the navigation computer has been dropped. If the new operating software is used in an older vehicle, only the left wheel speed signal will be indicated. (Only the signal of the rear left wheel is used on the E46 and E52.)
- 2 GPS status
- 3 Number of satellites currently received by GPS
- 4 Direction arrow; voltage supplied by gyro in mV
- 5 Direction of travel forward/reverse

Function test

- Select sensor test
- Drive several small diameter circles with the vehicle outdoors
- Observe displays/indicators for sensor test
