SUBJECT
DME ME9.2.2 Fault Code 2F09

MODEL
E53 X5 4.4, X5 4.8is with ME 9.2.2 produced 10/04 up to 02/05

SITUATION
Check engine light is illuminated and fault code 2F09 (Intake air temperature plausibility) is stored in DME.

CAUSE
DME calibration.

CORRECTION
On a customer complaint basis only, reprogram and recode DME with DIS/GT1 CD 42.0, or higher.

Covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
