CCC CD Text not Updated When CD is Swapped
MODEL
E90, E91, E92, E93 (3 Series) with CCC SA 609
E60, E61 (5 Series) with CCC SA 609
E63, E64 (6 Series)
E70 (X5) with CCC SA 609
SITUATION
The customer states that after swapping in a different CD into the CCC (Car Communication Computer) CD drive, the text displayed on the CID (Central Information Display) is not updated to reflect the new CD.
CAUSE
Software error
PROCEDURE
On a customer complaint basis, regenerate the CCC boot file again, as outlined below:
1. Perform a short test and follow through with any relevant fault test plans
2. Remove all media from the CD/DVD drives
3. Select "Function selection"
4. Select "Service functions"
5. Select "Body"
6. Select "Car Communication Computer"
7. Select "Create boot file again" and "Test plan"
8. The process takes from 30 45 minutes. Note: It is normal for the screen to go dark during this test plan.

Covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.
If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be used.
