Check Control Message: Active Steering Malfunction, Information Memory

Check Control Message: Active Steering Malfunction, Information Memory
Check of the information memory due to customer perception

Customer perception: Check Control message 'Active steering disabled'
If one of these Check Control messages appears together with the following MMI text:
- Active steering disabled
- Changed steering characteristics
- Steering wheel might be at a slant
- Driving can continue
- Steer cautiously

and no diagnostic fault memory entry has been stored in the fault memory, this is a temporary fault. The fault can occur due to an unusual driving situation, e.g. skidding or engine stall.
There is no defect in the active steering!
The information memory then contains at least one of the following information memory codes:
- 7014 (decimal: 28692)
- 704E (decimal: 28750)
- 704F (decimal: 28751)
- 7050 (decimal: 28752)
- 7021 (decimal: 28705)

In the function selection, select the function "Chassis/Steering/Active steering/CC message: Active steering disabled" and work through the associated test module.
In this test module, the information memory is checked for the above-mentioned information memory entries. With the additionally displayed data "frequency and kilometer reading", the occurrence of such states in the past can be examined.
