Convertible Top Control Module: Service and Repair




61 35 147 - Removing and installing/replacing convertible top module





Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection) 61 35 ... Notes on ESD Protection (Electro Static Discharge).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove luggage compartment floor trim 51 47 101 Removing and Installing/Replacing Luggage Compartment Floor Trim Panel
- Disconnect battery negative lead Instructions for Disconnecting and Connecting Battery and cover
- Remove side trim panel upper section at rear left Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Left or Right Upper Side Trim Section





Release screws (1).
Remove convertible top module (2) with retaining plate upwards from side panel opening (3).





Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unlock plug connections (2) and disconnect.
Unscrew nuts (3).
Remove convertible top module (4) from retaining plate (5).





Replacement:
Carry out programming/coding Programming and Relearning.
