Bypass blow-off valve, activation: short circuit to positive

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the electrical connection
between the DME and compressor bypass valve.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when a short circuit to positive is
present during activation of the compressor bypass valve.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness between compressor bypass valve
and DME
- Diverter valve defective
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- 0.5 sec.
Other conditions:
- Component must receive activation signal

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 1 sec.

Action in service
- Disconnect compressor bypass valve and check the wiring
harness
- Replace compressor bypass valve
