Oxygen sensor after catalytic converter, dynamic response,
from rich to lean: slow response

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the interval that elapses
during the signal jump from rich to lean.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the time interval exceeds 500
ms.
Potential problem source(s):
- Oxygen sensor too slow owing to cooling
- Oxygen sensor faulty
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- Coolant temperature > 50 °C
- Temperature of catalytic converter > 307 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic fault code is logged when the condition
remains present for over 5 seconds during overrun
operation.

Action in service
- If possible determine whether fault has been caused by ice
formation
- Check wiring harness to oxygen sensor behind catalytic
converter
- Replace oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter
