Exhaust-camshaft sensor 2, electric: no signal

Fault description
The diagnostic function determines whether signals from the
exhaust camshaft sensor 2 are present.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when no signals are received from
the exhaust camshaft sensor 2 although other signals
indicate that the engine is running.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness
- Exhaust camshaft sensor 2 defective
- Gap too large
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory
immediately.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness
- Check sensor to confirm that it is installed correctly
- Replace sensor
