Fault text
Charge-air temperature sensor 2, plausibility: minimum
temperature implausible

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors whether the boost-air
temperature in Bank 2 is within a physically possible range.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the boost-air temperature 2
falls below the minimum of ambient and coolant
temperature by 15 °C.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness
- Charge air temperature sensor defective
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- Ambient temperature between -7.5 °C and 35.3 °C
Time condition:
- Time after end of start phase > 65 sec.
Other conditions:
- Speed > 40 km/h for at least 120 sec.

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 10 sec.

Action in service
- Visual inspection of the sensor and its wiring
- Measure sensor wire, power supply and ground
- Replace sensor
