Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the spark duration.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the spark duration = 0 ms.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defective spark plug
- Power-supply voltage defect
- Defective ignition coil
- Defective DME
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
Engine temperature over 0 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic fault code is logged when the spark duration
is = 0 ms in 10 consecutive ignition events.

Action in service
- Check voltage supply
- Inspect spark plug for damage
- Check ignition coil for damage
- Install spark plug and coil on cylinder with no malfunction
- Replace DME
