72 12 050 Removing And Installing Side Airbag (front Seat)







WARNING:
Observe safety regulations for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical seat belt tensioners.

Incorrect handling can cause airbags to trigger, resulting in serious injuries.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Clamp off battery negative lead
- Partially detach backrest cover







Remove cover (1).







Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect. Release screws.

Installation:
Replace screws.
Tightening torques 72 12 06AZ.







Remove airbag module (1) from inner bag 2).

Installation:
Pull inner bag (2) fully over airbag module (1) and screw brackets.
