KAFAS: CCM Stating "Front Camera Failed"

SITUATION
A check control message (CCM) stating that the "KAFAS (Camera Assisted Driver Assistance System): Front camera failed" is displayed on the Central Information Display (CID).
Fault code 0x800ABD is stored in memory in the KAFAS.
CAUSE
A software error in the KAFAS control unit
PROCEDURE
1. Perform a vehicle test using ISTA and complete all test plans linked to the fault code 0x800ABD.
Note:
When the ISTA system message displays: Battery voltage only "XX.XX" V. Please connect charger. Please note the displayed battery voltage reading in the repair order comments section.
2. Retest the functionality. If the issue is resolved after performing step 1 above, then no further diagnostic steps are required.
3. If the issue is not resolved after completion of step 1 above, proceed as follows:
a. For vehicles produced to January 4, 2012, the KAFAS control unit must be replaced and the vehicle programmed and coded with ISTA/P 2.47.5 or higher.
b. For vehicles produced from January 4, 2012, do not replace the KAFAS control unit. Only program and code the vehicle with ISTA/P 2.47.5 or higher.
NOTE:
ISTA/P 2.47.5 is scheduled for release in September 2012.
4. Retest the KAFAS functionality
