SUBJECT: TAILGATE WATER LEAKS - "B & C" CAR
MODELS AFFECTED: 1977-1984 LESABRE & ELECTRA WAGONS
A water leak condition may exist on some LeSabre and Electra wagons with water entering through the tailgate and collecting in the 3rd seat footwell location. This condition may be more prevalent when the vehicle is parked on a slope.
A water deflector for the tailgate has been released and is being installed in production on all vehicles as of June 2, 1984. The water deflector can be ordered through the Parts Department using part number 20549750.
