Slips 3-4 Shift

1. Low fluid level.

2. Control valve assembly and spacer plate.

a. Gaskets of space plate damaged or incorrectly installed.

b. Accumulator valve sticking causing low 3-4 accumulator pressure.

c. Weak or missing accumulator valve spring.

3. 3-4 accumulator.

a. Piston stuck.

b. Damaged bore or oil ring.

4. Center support porosity.

5. Loose center support attaching bolts.

6. Fourth clutch piston surface or seals damaged.

7. Improper clutch plate usage.

8. Burned fourth clutch plates.

9. Case.

a. Porosity.

b. 1-2 accumulator housing bolts loose.

c. 3-4 accumulator piston seal damaged.

d. 3-4 accumulator leaking between the piston and pin.

e. 3-4 accumulator bore damaged.
