Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Reclining

Battery voltage from Circuit Breaker A is applied to the LH Recliner Switch (with Lumbar Supports only) and the RH Recliner Switch through CKT 660. The Recliner Switches, which are grounded at G200, normally ground both sides of the Recliner Motors. When the Recliner Switch is moved to the "BACK" position, battery voltage is applied to the Recliner Motor through the LT BLU (without Lumbar Supports), or the GRY/BLK wire (with Lumbar Supports), and the Recliner Switch. The motor will rotate to move the seatback back. The Recliner Motor will be grounded through LT GRN wire (without Lumbar Supports) or the PNK/WHT wire (with Lumbar Supports).
When the Recliner Switch is moved to the "FORWARD" position, battery voltage is applied to the Recliner Motor through the LT GRN wire (without Lumbar Supports), or the PNK/WHT wire (with Lumbar Supports). The Recliner Motor will be grounded through the LT BLU wire (without Lumbar Supports), or the GRY/BLK wire (with Lumbar Supports and the Recliner Switch. The Recliner Motor will rotate in the opposite direction and move the seatback forward.
