Compressor Replacement

A/C Compressor Mounting - 3.3L 6cyl:




Tool Required:
J-38100-D A/C Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Station

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant.
3. Serpentine belt.
4. Raise vehicle.
5. Lower support bracket.
6. Compressor/condenser hose assembly from compressor and discard sealing washers.
7. Clutch electrical connector.
8. Splash shield.
9. Compressor bolts.
10. Compressor.
11. Drain and measure compressor oil.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Drain compressor oil from new compressor.
2. Refill compressor with same amount of oil drained from old compressor.
^ If less than 30 ml (1 fl. oz.) was drained from old compressor add 60 ml (2 fl. oz.).
3. Compressor.
4. Compressor bolts.
5. Splash shield.
6. Clutch electrical connector.
7. Compressor/condenser hose assembly using new sealing washers.
8. Lower support bracket.
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Serpentine belt.
11. Negative battery cable.
12. Evacuate and recharge A/C system with 1.19 kg (2.63 lbs.) of R-12.
13. Check system operation.
