Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MAP Sensor:

Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect MAP sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove attaching screws.
4. Remove MAP sensor.

Installation
1. Position seal (lubricated with a very thin film of clean engine oil) into manifold assembly halfway, insert MAP sensor nipple into seal, seat sensor fully into seal and onto mounting surface.
2. Install MAP sensor screws. Tighten screws to 3 N-m (27 lb.in.). DO NOT OVERTORQUE.
3. Reconnect negative battery cable.
4. Reconnect electrical connector.
