Service Tips

Using a honing stone, fine sandpaper or crocus cloth is not recommended for servicing valves which are frozen. If it is necessary to clean a valve, "micro fine" lapping compound 900 grit or finer should be used.

Note the following when servicing control valve and oil pump assembly:

1. Valves and springs are not interchangeable. Keep in order of removal.

2. Roll pins are under pressure. Cover bore when pin is removed.

3. Blind hole pins must be removed with a No. 49 drill bit, Grind taper off of bit.
