Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Knock Sensor Assembly:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disconnect negative battery cable
2. Raise vehicle
3. Disconnect knock sensor wiring harness connector
4. Remove knock sensor from vehicle

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install knock sensor into engine block, ensure threads are clean and do not over tighten.

Tighten
Knock Sensor to 19 Nm (14 lb. ft.)

2. Connect electrical connector to sensor
3. Lower vehicle
4. Connect negative battery cable
