Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:
1. Check I/P Fuse Block Fuse #35 by operating door locks. If Fuse #35 is open, check CKT 2040 for a short to ground.
2. Check that ground G200 is clean and tight.
3. If both mirrors are inoperative check for poor connection at Outside Remote Control Rearview Mirror Switch.
4. If only one mirror operates properly, check for poor connection at C500 (LH Outside Mirror or C600 (RH outside Mirror).
^ Check For a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected, These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
