Circuit Operation

The Low Oil indicator ground is controlled by the PCM. To check for a low oil condition, the PCM checks the low oil level sensor after the ignition switch has been turned to the OFF or Lock position. The PCM checks for a low oil condition 32 minutes after the ignition switch is turned OFF if the previous ignition cycle was less than 12 minutes. The PCM checks for a low oil condition 3 minutes after the ignition switch is turned OFF if the previous ignition cycle was less than 12 minutes.
