Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair
Exhaust Manifold Attachment:
Exhaust System And Hangers:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
2. Exhaust pipe nuts from manifold.
3. Support the catalytic converter and remove bolts/screws from rear of catalytic converter.
4. Oxidation catalytic converter and pipe assembly.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Oxidation catalytic converter and pipe assembly.
2. Exhaust pipe nuts to manifold.
Tighten
Nuts to 53 Nm (39 lb. ft.).
3. Bolts/screws to rear of oxidation catalytic converter.
Tighten
Bolts/screws to 47 Nm (35 lb. ft.).
4. Lower vehicle.
