Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Support converter.
2. Cut front and intermediate exhaust pipes at the converter using J 29800 or BT-8252. Cut as close to welds as tool will permit.
3. Converter.
4. Remaining portions of the converter inlet/outlet from the front pipe and intermediate pipe/resonator assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Converter. Position intermediate pipe/resonator assembly for proper clearance to underbody during converter installation.
2. (2) Guillotine type clamps.
