Ignition Cable: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTION The
spark plug wiring is an aramid fiber (or similar cord) conductor, encased in an 8 mm (5/16 in) diameter silicone rubber jacket. The silicone jacket withstands high temperatures and also provides an excellent insulator for the Electronic Ignition
(EI) systems high voltage. Also, the silicone spark plug boots form a tight seal on the plug.
