Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Serviceable Exhaust Components:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Support converter.
2. Cut resonator at the converter using J 29800 or BT-8252. Cut as close to weld as tool will permit.
3. Converter.
4. Remaining portions of the converter inlet/outlet from the front pipe and intermediate pipe/resonator assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Converter. Position exhaust system for proper clearance to underbody during converter installation.
2. (2) Guillotine type clamps (position clamp so nuts are toward the drivers side of vehicle).
