Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Service:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
2. TP sensor attaching screws (2) and retainers.
3. TP sensor (1).

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. With throttle valve in normal closed (idle) position, install throttle position sensor on throttle body assembly.

NOTE: Install new TP sensor attaching screws when replacing TP sensor.

2. Retainers and two TP sensor screws.

Tighten
Screws to 2-4 Nm (18-35 lb. in.)

3. TP sensor electrical connector.
