Technician Safety Information
WARNING: This vehicle is equipped with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR). Refer to CAUTIONS under Airbags and Seat Belts and the SIR component and wiring location before performing service on or around SIR components or wiring. Failure to follow CAUTIONS could result In possible air bag deployment, personal injury, or otherwise unneeded SIR system repairs.CATALYTIC CONVERTERS
On vehicles equipped with catalytic converters, the following conditions must be observed:
- Do not disconnect any spark plug wires with the engine running.
- If running on a dynamometer, make sure the catalytic converter is well ventilated.
- Use caution when working near the catalytic converter to prevent the possibility of burns. The temperatures within the converter can exceed 1000°F.
