Intake Manifold Installation

LOWER
1. Install the lower intake manifold.
2. Apply thread locking compound to the bolt threads.
3. Install the lower intake manifold bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts in sequence to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

NOTE: Make sure to install the two hidden bolts.

4. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor wiring harness to the coolant outlet stud.
5. Install the EGR outlet pipe to the intake manifold.
6. Install the upper intake manifold.





UPPER
1. Install the upper intake manifold. Make sure to install the two hidden bolts in the lower intake manifold.





2. Install the upper intake manifold bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts in sequence to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the throttle body.
4. Install the cable bracket to the intake manifold.
5. Install the fuel rail.
6. Install the ignition wires to the fuel rail.





7. Install the spark plug wires on the right side of the engine.
