Dome Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Grasp the front and rear edges of the dome lamp housing and squeeze together to release the retainers along the sides of the housing, while carefully pulling the housing down away from the lamp base plate.
2. Remove the bulb from the dome lamp socket.
3. Insert a flat-bladed tool into the U-shaped slot along the base of each of the integral retainers in the lamp base plate, then carefully pry the retainers downward to release them from the roof bow.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the dome lamp base plate.
5. Remove the dome lamp base plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connector to the dome lamp base plate.
2. Position the dome lamp base plate to the roof bow and press the integral retainers into place to secure.
3. Install the bulb to the dome lamp socket.
4. Align the dome lamp housing to the base plate and press to snap into place.
