Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

The Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool, when plugged into the Data Link Connector (DLC), becomes part of the vehicle's electronic system. The Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool can perform the following functions:
^ Display MAGNASTEER(R) data.
^ Display and clear MAGNASTEER(R) diagnostic trouble codes.
^ Control MAGNASTEER(R) components.
^ Perform extensive MAGNASTEER(R) diagnosis.
^ Provide diagnostic testing for intermittent MAGNASTEER(R) conditions.

Each test mode has specific diagnostic capabilities which depend upon various keystrokes. The keys on the Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool select operating modes, perform functions within an operating mode, or enter DTC or model year designations.
