Oil Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation
Engine Oil Pressure Switch:
The PCM monitors the Engine Oil Pressure Switch signal to determine if engine oil pressure is OK. If the PCM determines that a low oil pressure condition exists, the PCM will communicate the information via the Class II Serial Data circuit to the Instrument Control Panel (IPC). The IPC illuminate the indicator lamp.
