Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

The Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool becomes part of the vehicle's electronic system when plugged into the Data Link Connector (DLC). The diagnostic Computer Scan Tool can perform the following functions:
- Display the MAGNASTEER(R) data
- Display and clear any MAGNASTEER(R) diagnostic trouble codes
- Control the MAGNASTEER(R) components
- Perform extensive MAGNASTEER(R) diagnosis
- Provide diagnostic testing for intermittent MAGNASTEER(R) conditions

Each test mode has specific diagnostic capabilities which depend upon various keystrokes. The keys on the Diagnostic Computer Scan Tool completes the following functions:
- Select operating modes
- Perform functions within an operating mode
- Enter Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) or model year designations
