Fan Shroud: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the cooling fans. Refer to Cooling Fan Replacement - Electric.
2. Disconnect the cooling fan wiring harness from each cooling fan motor.
3. Remove the cooling fan electrical harness from the fan shroud.
4. Remove the cooling fan blade nut(s).
5. Remove the cooling fan blade(s).





6. Remove the cooling fan motor(s) bolts.
7. Remove the cooling fan motors from the fan shroud.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the cooling fan motor(s) onto the fan shroud.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the cooling fan motor(s) bolts.
Tighten the cooling fan motor bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).

Caution: Refer to Fan Blade Assembly Caution in Service Precautions.

3. Install the cooling fan blade(s).





4. Install the cooling fan blade nut(s).
Tighten the cooling fan blade nuts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
5. Install the cooling fan electrical harness to the fan shroud.
6. Connect the cooling fan wiring harness to each cooling fan motor.
7. Install the cooling fans. Refer to Cooling Fan Replacement- Electric.
