Clamps Description

Saddle or U-bolt and single-nut compression are two types of clamps used for connecting the exhaust system joints.
Two types of clamps are used for connecting exhaust system slip joints:
^ Exhaust Muffler Inlet Pipe Clamp/Saddle/U-bolt
^ Single Nut Compression





These clamps create a mechanical seal by crimping the outer exhaust tubing in a 360 degree circumference around the pipe and against the inner tubing. Coat the slip-joints with exhaust system sealer before assembly.
Correct alignment of the exhaust muffler inlet pipe clamp is necessary to avoid contact with the underbody or components of the vehicle.
