Driver Information Display

The Driver Information Display calculates and displays the following vehicle parameters:
^ Average Fuel Economy
^ Instantaneous Fuel Economy (IFE)
^ Oil Life
^ Range

Only one of the parameters may be displayed at a time. The mode indicator next to the corresponding graphics will light. The user may change the parameter display by depressing the mode button located on the driver information display switches. The operator may change units from English to metric by pressing the E/M button on the face of the driver information display switches. The display is vacuum fluorescent using the following display type:
^ 6 characters
^ 7 segment with parameter units

The telltale lamps or indicators deliver the following information to the driver:
^ DOOR/TRUNK ajar
^ LOW WASH
^ LOW TIRE
^ LOW TRAC
^ TRAC OFF
^ CHANGE OIL SOON

The telltale lamps or indicators will light when either of the following conditions occur:
^ A grounding switch is closed.
^ One of the pertinent modules provides a path to ground for that indicator.
