Clearing Trouble Codes

SCAN TOOL METHOD
Select the DTCs for the diagnostic trouble codes. After the DTCs have been viewed completely, the scan tool will ask, CLEAR DTCs? Answer YES. The scan tool will read, HISTORY DATA WILL BE LOST. CLEAR DTCs? Answer YES. The DTCs will clear. The DTCs cannot clear until all of the DTCs have been displayed.

IGNITION CYCLE DEFAULT
Any existing DTCs are automatically cleared from the instrument cluster if no diagnostic trouble codes occur for 100 drive cycles. A drive cycle occurs under the following conditions:
^ The ignition is turned to the RUN position.
^ The vehicle is driven faster than 16 km/h.
