Fog Lights

The FOG LP Relay in the underhood accessory wiring junction block controls the fog lamps. The coil side of the FOG LP Relay receives voltage at all times through circuit 1200 from the headlamps and HIGH beam indicator. The common terminal of the FOG LP Relay switch receives power through circuit 9 from the FRT PARK LPS Fuse in the fuse block. This fuse receives the power from the headlamp switch through circuit 74 when the headlamp switch is in the PARK or HEAD position. The headlamp switch receives power through circuit from the LP PARK Fuse in the underhood accessory wiring junction block. When the fog lamp switch is set to the ON position, the Body Control Module (BCM) supplies a ground through the following components:
^ Circuit 192
^ The fog lamp switch
^ Circuit 1317
^ The FOG LP Relay coil

This energizes the FOG LP Relay, turning on the fog lamps by sending power to the normally open switch contact and circuit 34 in the fog lamps. Circuit 34 also supplies power to the indicator lamp in the fog lamp switch. The left hand (LH) fog lamp receives ground from G101 through circuit 1350. The right hand (RH) fog lamp receives ground through G102 through circuit 1250. The fog lamps will shut off under the following conditions:
^ The headlamp dimmer switch turns to the Flash-To-Past (FTP) position.
^ The headlamp switch is in the HEAD position.
^ The headlamp dimmer switch is set to the HIGH position.
