REAR WHEEL BEARING/HUB

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The wheel bearing in the rear wheel hub is integrated into one unit. Therefore, the hub is non-serviceable. If the hub and/or bearing is damaged, replace the complete hub and bearing assembly.





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the rear caliper and bracket.
4. Remove the brake rotor.
5. Remove the ABS harness and the electrical connector.
6. Remove the rear wheel hub-to-knuckle bolts (2).
7. Remove the rear wheel hub (3) from the knuckle (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the rear wheel hub (3) to the knuckle (1).
2. Install new rear wheel hub-to-knuckle bolts (2).
^ Tighten the hub mounting bolts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the ABS harness and the electrical connector.
4. Install The rear brake rotor.
5. Install the rear caliper and bracket.
6. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.
