Rear Door Replacement
Tools Required
* J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
* J 36796 Clip Zip Tool
* J 39346-AMini-Wedge Alignment Tool
Removal Procedure
1. Mark the location of the hinges (upper and lower) on the door.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the door module.
4. Remove the water deflector.
5. Remove the inside door handle.
6. Remove the energy absorber pad.
7. Remove the window inner belt seal strip.
8. Remove the window outer belt seal strip.
9. Remove the door window.
10. Remove the window regulator.
11. Remove the stationary window.
12. Remove the door frame applique.
13. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
14. Remove the front window run channel.
15. Remove the door latch.
16. Remove the outside door handle.
17. Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip.
18. Disconnect the door wiring harness connector from the body wiring harness connector.
19. Remove the wiring harness clips (2).
20. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
21. Remove the door check link.
22. Remove the door.
23. Remove the door hinges.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the door hinges to the pillar and the door.
2. Install the door.
3. Install the door check link.
4. Route the wiring harness and conduit into the door.
5. Install the door wiring harness clips (2) to the inner door panel.
6. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector.
7. Install the upper auxiliary weatherstrip.
8. Install the door latch.
9. Install the outside door handle.
10. Install the front window run channel.
11. Install the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip.
12. Install the door frame applique.
13. Install the stationary window.
14. Install the window regulator.
15. Install the door window.
16. Install the window outer belt seal strip.
17. Install the window inner belt seal strip.
18. Install the energy absorber pad.
19. Install the inside door handle.
20. Check the door for proper adjustment. Refer to Door Adjustment.
21. Install the water deflector.
22. Install the door module.
23. Install the door trim panel.
