Battery-No Charge (Red)

The PC illuminates the battery-no charge indicator whenever the Dash Integration Module (DIM) or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) sends a class 2 message requesting illumination, via the class 2 serial data line. The indicator identifies a charging condition or a load management condition in the electrical system. The PCM determines if a charging condition exists. The DIM determines if there is a condition in the load management. If a condition exists, the DIM commands Battery Saver Active. When the instrument cluster receives this message the indicator illuminates. The IPC also illuminates the indicator during the bulb check.
