Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from engine oil level sensor.
5. Remove the engine oil level sensor from the oil pan.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the engine oil level sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the engine oil level sensor to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

2. Connect the electrical connector (1).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Add the engine oil to the correct level. For the crankcase oil capacity, refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid.
